The ordinary inhabitants of Abonshee, known as Masterhome to the Anointed People of that planet, were referred to as the Unwashed.
This group comprised the working-class segment of society, known for their resilience and labor. The governing Godlings deliberately withheld education from them. Unlike the Godlings, the Unwashed remained unaware of, and uninterested in, other sentient beings on different planets. Their lives revolved around basic pursuits such as their occupations, largely consisting of agriculture and local commerce, and the anticipation of upcoming festivities. They also enjoyed pastimes like gambling and drinking, especially during extended three-day celebrations.
When possible, the Unwashed preferred to wear brightly colored robes. They typically carried their possessions along with a club, which was not capable of inflicting significant injury on another Unwashed individual.
Typically, Unwashed individuals were employed by a specific Godling, working either in a town or on a farm. During the era of the Galactic Empire, each Godling would lead their Unwashed subjects in an annual simulated war against a neighboring Godling. This event was eagerly anticipated by the Unwashed.
In the year 0 ABY, Trisstan, the Godking and supreme ruler of Abonshee, secretly employed a member of the Unwashed to sneak into the chambers of visiting alien diplomats and pilfer their belongings. Trisstan's aim was to assess the capabilities of his guests, specifically their level of vigilance. He pledged to reward the Unwashed with gold coins, even if the Unwashed were apprehended.
