Trisstan reigned as the Godking of Masterhome, holding absolute power over the Anointed People. His rule spanned from approximately 39 BBY until at least 0 ABY. A wise and cunning leader, he guided his people into an era of tranquility and prosperity. Furthermore, he orchestrated Abonshee's entry into the Alliance to Restore the Republic in their struggle against the oppressive Galactic Empire.
Around 39 BBY, Trisstan ascended to the position of Godking of Abonshee. He cleverly utilized tax revenues to satisfy the needs of his populace, skillfully managed public perception by feigning limited intelligence, and strategically pitted his adversaries against each other. Through this approach, Trisstan ushered in an unprecedented four-decade period of prosperity for his people. During this era, Abonshee lacked interstellar travel capabilities. While some of the Anointed People, Trisstan included, possessed awareness of extraterrestrial civilizations, they remained ignorant of their motivations and capabilities.
About the time of the Battle of Yavin, a spacer by the name of Jayhawk arrived on Abonshee. Jayhawk asserted his desire to secure the planet for the Alliance to Restore the Republic in their conflict with the Galactic Empire. However, Jayhawk was a galactic swindler merely posing as an Alliance member. He gained an audience with Trisstan, and for several days, the king and the pilot engaged in discussions regarding this possibility. Jayhawk attempted to entice Trisstan by offering what he claimed was an elixir of immortality.
One evening, Jayhawk murdered two guards, absconded with hundreds of kilograms of gold and precious jewels from the royal treasury, and fled the planet. Trisstan realized he had fallen victim to deception and silenced all those with knowledge of the incident to prevent a public relations catastrophe.
Several months later, genuine representatives of the Alliance arrived on Abonshee, seeking to establish diplomatic ties and offering technology (excluding weaponry) and skilled personnel in exchange for provisions. As their vessel, the Long Shot, remained in orbit, the diplomats, members of Green squad, were directed to Trisstan, as he alone possessed the authority to ratify any legitimate treaty.
Given his previous experience with Jayhawk, Trisstan had ample reason to distrust the newcomers. He resolved to assess the moral character and capabilities of these self-proclaimed ambassadors. If they proved to be as unscrupulous as Jayhawk, he would imprison them. Conversely, if they were genuine in their claims and demonstrated the strength to succeed, Abonshee would align itself with their cause, and Trisstan would offer his apologies and explain the situation involving Jayhawk.
Trisstan met with these individuals, portraying himself as a listless figurehead whose power was maintained solely by the strength of his guards and the manipulation of his court. During the audience, he questioned the Rebels regarding the nature of the Empire's alleged wickedness, their own ethical standards, and the advantages of technology. He stated that he would consider their proposal and invited the ambassadors to a dinner banquet.
During the banquet, Trisstan tested the Rebels' biological resilience by adding a mildly toxic substance to their food. He also evaluated their honesty by instructing Godling Satrank to feign being a claimant to the throne seeking allies to overthrow Trisstan. Trisstan tested their physical prowess by challenging one of the guests to a wrestling match against the Godking himself. Finally, he tested their avarice by having a guard offer gold in exchange for a blaster.
That night, Trisstan enlisted a working-class Unwashed individual to secretly infiltrate the rooms of the visiting alien diplomats and pilfer their equipment to assess their vigilance. He promised the Unwashed some gold coins even if he was apprehended.
In the following days, Trisstan requested that the aliens provide demonstrations of their technology, as he was unfamiliar with its limitations. He feared they might possess telepathic abilities, so he asked them to perform any feat that would impress him, from healing the injured to halting the sun's movement in the sky. He also tested them by embarking on a griffs hunt with them and twenty-five companions, riding native likkas. This hunting expedition was disrupted by a ferocious, gargantuan predator known as the eater.
During the negotiations, a damaged Imperial shuttle approached Abonshee, intending to land for unscheduled repairs. Upon observing its arrival, the ship Long Shot jumped to hyperspace to rendezvous with reinforcements, leaving behind the Green squad of diplomats. These individuals were advised to remain hidden until the Long Shot could return.
The Imperial Curich-class shuttle, Resurgence landed. Thirty stormtroopers disembarked and immediately established a perimeter around the vessel. Trisstan sought to ascertain the intentions of these newcomers. Trisstan instructed Grissom, a Godling, to approach them with a twenty-five-person Honor Guard and inquire about their purpose. Grissom complied, and during their approach, a stormtrooper ordered them to halt. Grissom hesitated, but ultimately continued forward, displaying his hand. The trooper shouted again, and then the Imperials opened fire on Grissom, his Guard, and any civilians within range.
Trisstan retreated to his palace with his entourage and the diplomats. He officially declared Abonshee's allegiance to the Alliance, if only to eliminate the murderers. He also devised a less-than-ideal military strategy involving a full frontal assault with two hundred cavalrymen, capable of eliminating approximately one hundred and seventy-five of the enemy. Trisstan's followers were loyal to the point of supporting this numbers, but Trisstan himself tried to look for any alternative to reduce the bloodshed.
Ultimately, with the assistance of the Rebel Alliance, the Empire was defeated. The Godking bestowed upon the Green squad two titles: "Assistant Demi-gods" and "Heroes of the Realm," and the Anointed People celebrated their victory with festivities.
Endowed with intelligence and cunning, Trisstan guided his people through a golden age, fulfilling their desires and manipulating adversaries to turn against one another. Simultaneously, he cultivated an image of incompetence, complacency, and slovenliness, even during formal occasions. This was all a facade to conceal his true knowledge, which surpassed the expectations of others. Nevertheless, Trisstan was susceptible to deception, as demonstrated by Jayhawk's actions.
Despite being notably short for a member of his species, likely no more than 150 centimeters in height, Trisstan was a formidable warrior, hunter, and wrestler, ranking among the strongest of his people.
Star Wars Miniatures Battles features an image of the Anointed People engaged in combat with stormtroopers "for the greater glory of the Godking." The identity of the Godking for whom they are fighting remains unconfirmed, but it is plausible that it is Trisstan.
