Uran Lavint, hailing from Bespin, was a smuggler (a female one, at that) who operated during the era of the Second Galactic Civil War. Her personal vessel was a ship known as the Breathe My Jets.
Lavint was in debt to the Hutt named Blatta, who then joined her as co-pilot during a large smuggling operation that involved a small fleet. Following Uran's betrayal of the group to the Galactic Alliance in order to settle her outstanding debts, they were apprehended by the Anakin Solo. Subsequently, she approached Jacen Solo seeking further assignments, but he declined. She then requested the return of her original ship, a request that was also denied. Instead, she was given a YV-666 light freighter called the Duracrud. This displeased her, and unbeknownst to her, Solo had ordered the sabotage of its hyperdrive after she had insulted him, ensuring it would only function once.
After making a jump to an empty location, she was unable to repair the hyperdrive. However, Alema Rar had secretly boarded the ship and offered her help in repairing the hyperdrive in exchange for Lavint's assistance in locating the Solos. Uran then took Alema to the Errant Venture in search of the Solos. While there, Lavint engaged in gambling, sometimes with Alema's help, and consumed alcohol frequently. On one occasion, while intoxicated, Jacen approached her again with a proposition: to smuggle him to a confidential Confederation meeting on Gilatter VIII. She accepted the offer after Jacen provided her with a new ship: a medium transport from Gallofree Yards. Later on, Alema would steal the Duracrud in order to flee from the Jedi.
