Urch Planetary and Space Control was the group responsible for the control of interstellar transit in the vicinity of the planet Urch within the Unknown Regions; Urch served as the capital for the Tower Dimension nation. In approximately 19 BBY, the Chiss Ascendancy dispatched Ambassador Boadil'par'gasoi, whose core name was "Ilparg," on a diplomatic mission to Urch. He traveled aboard the Nightdragon man-of-war named Vigilant. Upon the warship's arrival, an air traffic controller working for Urch Planetary and Space Control denied Ilparg's request to land on Urch. Shortly thereafter, multiple starships connected to the Nikardun Destiny attempted to seize the Vigilant. The Chiss craft subsequently fled into hyperspace.
Urch Planetary and Space Control was first introduced in the 2020 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising. This novel was the initial entry in Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
