I'm Aaron, residing in Washington state alongside my spouse and our cherished pet. Since my father introduced me to Star Wars during my childhood, I've been a dedicated enthusiast. Throughout my formative years, I consistently watched ANH, TESB, and ROTJ on LaserDisc multiple times annually, to such an extent that I practically had every line of dialogue committed to memory. My preferred way to characterize Star Wars comes from Elaine Cunningham, who described Star Wars as: "… an adventure story with a fantasy heart and a science-fiction wardrobe."
My interest in the Star Wars expanded universe was rekindled when Timothy Zahn penned Heir to the Empire and the subsequent books in the original Thrawn Trilogy. I've perused and possess the majority of the novels published from that point until the Canon reboot. While my affection for Star Wars remains steadfast, I'll always have a stronger preference for the version that existed before Disney's acquisition.
Be aware that I will respect your personal choices and identity, but that doesn't require me to agree with them. If this is unacceptable to you, then you are the problem. I refuse to be pressured into adopting a specific viewpoint that aligns with yours merely to make you feel validated. If you are unable to accept this, the onus is on you to adapt, not on me.
