Greetings, Mariojack1!
Regarding Source Material for Edits
Thank you for your contributions to Wookieepedia! It has come to our attention that a recent edit of yours introduced information to a mainspace article that lacks proper verification. As stated in our sourcing policy, all additions to Wookieepedia articles must be supported by a trustworthy source. Unsubstantiated information is subject to removal or reversion. If you need guidance on correctly citing sources for your contributions, please consult this helpful guide or seek assistance on our Discord server. We appreciate your understanding! —spookywillowwtalk 19:58, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- In line with the aforementioned guidelines, please refrain from modifying soundtrack listings unless you can provide a source. The current listings are formatted to match the other lists found in the External links section at the bottom of each page. Anıl Şerifoğlu ( talk ) 23:00, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
Regarding: Deleted scenes
As previously mentioned, the removed sections of your edit lacked credible supporting sources. For instance, a YouTube video created by an unofficial user that re-edits scenes and uses footage from other YouTube channels like Wicket 396 or Hal9000 does not qualify as a reliable source. You can find more information on this topic here. Hopefully, this clarifies the situation. Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 02:41, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Regarding: Deleted scenes
I only request that you do not erase my edits concerning the deleted Duel on Mustafar scenes. These scenes were missing from the article and were sourced from a reliable source titled "ROTS deleted scenes". This source corresponds to entry number 55 in the notes and references section of the article Scenes cut from Star Wars. Specifically, the scenes included in the article are derived from this source. Additionally, the deleted footage should be presented in chronological order. Mariojack1 (talk) 20:53, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- As previously stated, a YouTube video from an unofficial user does not constitute a reliable source. It is not officially sanctioned by Lucasfilm (like deleted scenes in home video releases, on Disney+, etc.) or shared by a Star Wars creative. Please refrain from reverting your edits and citing that YouTube channel as your source. Thank you. Anıl Şerifoğlu ( talk ) 21:30, 2 April 2024 (UTC) The scene showing Obi-Wan using both Anakin's and his own lightsaber (displayed on the scene page) during the deleted duel includes the missing content, which originates from a video by Noah Lawson called "The Unused Scenes of Star Wars." Moreover, several other scenes drawn from that source have been added and have not been removed. Therefore, it can be considered a reliable source. Please do not delete my edits. Alright, here's the situation: I have located the missing scenes within the Illustrated Screenplay, which is a legitimate source endorsed by George Lucas.
Account Suspension
Your account has been temporarily suspended from editing for a period of 1 week. As previously explained, please ensure you use credible sources when making edits and avoid violating the three-revert-rule by repeatedly re-adding content that has been removed by other editors. If you wish to dispute this suspension, please contact the administrator who issued the block, providing your reasons for believing the suspension is unwarranted. —spookywillowwtalk 01:57, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Mariojack1. I strongly suggest that you re-examine what Wookieepedia defines as a reliable source because your recent edits continue to include content sourced from a random "deleted scenes" video on YouTube. Specifically, rumored scenes are not appropriate for inclusion here. Thank you for your understanding. AnilSerifoglu ( talk ) 00:07, 13 June 2024 (UTC) Hello Mariojack1, you are still disregarding the previous warnings regarding the use of reliable sources. If you are experiencing difficulties or have any questions about what qualifies as a reliable source, I would be happy to assist you. However, please reconsider your approach, as continued violations of the attribution policy may result in another editing suspension. AnilSerifoglu (talk) 23:26, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
