The V-19 landspeeder, often called a Gian speeder, was a compact landspeeder utilized by the Royal Naboo Security Forces, in conjunction with the faster flash speeder.
SoroSuub engineered the V-19 Landspeeder for dual purposes: civilian and military transport. Its medium-grade hull plating, coupled with reinforced armor, rendered it a familiar sight in densely populated urban environments where collisions were frequent.

The V-19 also incorporated thrust pods, neatly tucked away at the rear, to minimize its visual profile as a target. This feature contributed to its popularity within the Naboo Royal Security Forces, who employed it in various scenarios, including managing crowds, conducting wilderness patrols, and engaging in urban combat.
Despite Naboo's relatively peaceful nature, the Gian speeder possessed substantial firepower, featuring 2 forward-mounted light repeating blasters capable of quickly immobilizing non-military vehicles, as well as an optional medium blaster cannon turret. Each blaster was powered by its own independent auxiliary power unit, ensuring functionality even if the speeder's primary power generator sustained damage.
The detachable medium blaster cannon could penetrate the lower forward armor beneath an AAT's pilot hatch. Some Gian speeders omitted this cannon, their pilots choosing a larger windshield instead.
Each vehicle accommodated a pilot, a gunner, and 2 passengers, usually sufficient for most situations. Command variants of the vehicle included holographic projection systems for tactical planning and more sophisticated communication capabilities.

By the time the Invasion of Naboo occurred, the RSF had 36 Gian speeders in active service.
When the Trade Federation initiated its invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, a Gian speeder was stationed at a Naboo resistance base. Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes operated another speeder during an engagement at the south ridge of Theed. During the invasion, Gian speeders were strategically positioned to ambush isolated AATs. This tactic served as a diversion, enabling Padmé Amidala and a small contingent to assault the Theed Royal Palace.
V-19 landspeeders made their debut in 1999 with the premiere of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
