During 18 BBY, Watith Captain Fsir attempted to deceive Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo (known in the core name as "Thrawn") by providing a false location for this base. Upon reaching the purported site, Fsir, aboard his freighter, the Saltbarrel, initiated an attack on Thrawn. Nevertheless, the Chiss employed plasma spheres to neutralize the freighter, eliminating the danger and leading to the Watith's capture.
