Valaqil, a Gurlanin native of the planet Qiilura, was a male who allied himself with the Galactic Republic and was also the partner of Jinart. Before Omega Squad's mission to Qiilura, Valaqil attended their briefing which took place on Ord Mantell. The clone troopers were attempting to evacuate the colonists from Qiilura when their Jedi General, Etain Tur-Mukan, unknowingly guided them into a minefield that the colonists had set up after feigning surrender. Because of this, Valaqil, who Tur-Mukan incorrectly believed to be Jinart, had to guide them to safety, leading them out of the minefield.
