Exhibiting prejudice common among Imperial personnel, he displayed bias against various species, with particular animosity towards the Trandoshans and their cultural practices. Vandorn attempted to exploit them by assigning formidable combatants the task of overcoming a leader among the Trandoshan inmates on Belsavis, with the intention of subsequently enslaving them. Following the Trandoshans' subjugation, the victorious fighters either proceeded to enslave and collar the Trandoshan captives or insisted that Vandorn afford the Trandoshans due respect.
