The Vanguard, a Rendili Vehicle Corporation creation, served as the initial model for the Defender-class light corvette intended for the use of the Jedi Order. Nevertheless, prior to its initial operational assessment, the vessel was pilfered by Hylo Visz, a Mirialan smuggler, who then employed it extensively during her time as a smuggler.
