Vengeance (Oovo IV)

The podrace course Vengeance represented a podracing track situated on Oovo IV, serving as the sixth race within the Amateur Podracing Circuit. This perilous race, which was the primary source of amusement for the prisoners residing in Desolation Alley, presented racers with a distinctive opportunity to experience weightlessness as they navigated the gravity tubes.

The competition commenced within a crescent-shaped arena, immediately plunging racers into the depths of Oovo IV. They then had to navigate tunnels at immense velocities, avoiding hazardous girders positioned at the center. Subsequently, the course extended across a lengthy bridge, ultimately exposing racers to the searchlights of Desolation Alley, employed to detect fleeing convicts. Shortly thereafter, pilots found themselves compelled to maneuver through colossal fan blades at speeds exceeding six hundred miles per hour. Soon after this, they were propelled into the initial segment of numerous antigravity tubes, which were densely packed with unprocessed ore.

Vengeance Following this, the tube discharged into an expansive chamber containing freely suspended ore: the reactor core of the facility. Racers were forced to evade the filament, which had the potential to sever the magbeam responsible for holding the engines together, before re-entering the tubes. Once more, the tubes led to colossal towers, which racers were required to avoid to prevent substantial collateral damage, possibly including fatal consequences. After another launch from the antigravity tubes, the racers were propelled back onto the surface, where they were tasked with navigating the direct path back to the arena.

The thoroughfares bisecting the cell blocks were notably spacious, which meant that racers possessing exceptional top speeds and cooling capabilities were likely to excel on this particular course.
