Veruna existed as one of the three moons that were in orbit around the planet Naboo. Its name was the same as that of King Ars Veruna, who was the monarch of Naboo before Padmé Amidala took the throne of Naboo.
The first appearance of Veruna was in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, and it was later specified in the reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia which was published in 2017. The moon was identified as Ohma-D'un in Star Wars Legends by The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
