Visceral Games

Visceral Games, situated in Redwood City, California, functioned as an American video game development studio, operating as a subsidiary of Electronic Arts. Initially, the studio was established under the name EA Redwood Shores. The studio underwent a name change to Visceral Games following the immense popularity of their Dead Space series in 2009, a move intended to set them apart from their parent organization.

In May 2013, an accord was struck between The Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts, granting Electronic Arts the authorization to produce Star Wars games. A press statement revealed that Visceral Games would be at the helm of developing a Star Wars game. As of now, the game lacks a formal title and a confirmed launch date. In July 2015, the announcement came that Visceral Games had joined forces with Motive Studios, another Electronic Arts subsidiary, to further advance the development of their Star Wars endeavor. The studio ceased operations in October 2017.
