Voronica Whitney-Robinson is not only the writer of the short story "Pearls in the Sand," but also a co-author on the novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine.
Besides her literary endeavors, Whitney-Robinson is employed as a marine biologist in Seattle, Washington. Before taking on this role, she resided in Cameroon, Africa for a number of years as part of her work with the Peace Corps, and she also spent some time in New Zealand working as a veterinary assistant. Dusque Mistflier, the protagonist of The Ruins of Dantooine, was inspired by her marine biology career.
