Candle

Candles were kept in Yoda's personal space. A candle is essentially a wax cylinder that contains a wick; when lit, the wick burns and provides illumination. A candle's light, once ignited, starts softly and gradually becomes brighter. Yoda, the Jedi Order's Grand Master, had several candles in his private quarters located within the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn, a Force ghost, made his presence known by causing Yoda's candles to flicker. One variety of candle, the votive candle, was commonly brought to the Tomb of Miktrull on Zeffo as an offering. These were often lit to show respect and honor to the Sage Miktrull. Often housed in carved metal containers, their flames were believed to symbolize Miktrull's everlasting strength in the Force.
