Vow of Justice

Vow of Justice served as a supplementary tale, appearing in the concluding pages of the final three installments of the Prelude to Rebellion storyline.

Plot summary

Not long after his return to Cerea as a newly appointed Jedi Knight, Ki-Adi-Mundi reflects upon his selection for Jedi training and the marauders, headed by Bin-Garda-Zon, who once plagued his home village. He revisits the raider encampment to face Bin-Garda-Zon and ensure he faces retribution, only to discover him overthrown and enslaved. Instead, he battles Khana, the new female leader of the raiders. Ki, his attention diverted by the sight of the weakened and ousted former leader, suffers defeat. Following his capture and imprisonment, Ki is visited and assaulted in his cell by Bin-Garda-Zon. A struggle breaks out, and Ki activates his lightsaber, revealing his Jedi identity. Ki persuades the raiders to scatter and departs without exacting vengeance.
