Wendle was a male human who lived on the planet of At Attin in the New Republic Era. He shared his life there with his son, Wim. In 9 ABY, Wim discovered an old starship hidden within the woods just outside their city. Wim, along with three other children named Neel, KB, and Fern, began exploring the ship. However, they inadvertently activated it, causing them to become lost in the vastness of space. Wendle, alongside Fern's mother Fara, embarked on a mission to locate the children and bring them safely back to their home.
Battle of At Attin[] During the Battle of At Attin, Wendle's contribution, though small, was crucial. His expertise as a Level 7 Systems Coordinator enabled him to restore power to the clamps securing the Onyx Cinder. This restoration allowed for their release, which in turn enabled KB to activate the ship and send a distress signal to the New Republic. This event proved to be the turning point in the battle, as the arrival of New Republic X-Wings led to the destruction of the pirate vessel.

Wendle, a dedicated single father, experienced the loss of Wim's mother at an unspecified time before the events of 9 ABY, due to reasons not explicitly stated. A diligent worker, he held deep affection for Wim, his only child, but struggled to dedicate ample time to him due to the demands of his profession. Wendle possessed a cautious nature and could be strict as a parent. However, he ultimately placed his trust in his son and the other members of the Skeleton Crew during the Battle of At Attin.
Wendle made an appearance in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the live-action series released in 2024. He was portrayed by Tunde Adebimpe.
