Whiptree

Whiptrees were a kind of tree with slender trunks and a pliable nature. These plants were abundant on the planet of Ryloth, frequently creating areas of dark coloration amidst the planet's rocky landscape. Colonel Belkor Dray of the Imperial forces observed some of these trees in 14 BBY while piloting an airspeeder above Ryloth. He later touched down in a valley densely populated with whiptrees to rendezvous with Cham Syndulla, the head of the anti-Imperial Free Ryloth Movement, with whom the officer was working in opposition to his fellow Imperials. Shortly thereafter, Isval, a Free Ryloth Movement combatant, internally noted that lieutenant Grolt of the Empire had a physique that was "whiptree-thin."
