White was a protocol droid designed with feminine programming, possessing a slender and elegant form often compared to a beautiful sculpture. Her design featured smooth, refined lines reminiscent of a human replica droid; however, unlike the cloned skin of such droids, White was covered in a pristine white paint that shimmered. Around 200 BBY, she served as an assistant to Li Yu, the leader of the Knights of Silver Dawn, within the Aakaash system of the Oplovis sector. The Jedi named Sean noted that her distinct white finish suggested a deliberate rejection of human imitation, setting her apart from replica droids.

Serving as an aide to Li Yu, the leader of the Knights of Silver Dawn, was the protocol droid White. Operating within the largely autonomous Aakaash system located in the Oplovis sector, Li and White conducted their business around 200 BBY. When Li discovered a severely wounded Sean hidden aboard his warship, he used bacta treatment to revive him. Shortly after regaining consciousness, Sean, a Jedi Padawan who had been battling the Vermilion Birds while posing as a renegade member of their pirate group, found himself restrained with magnetic binders on the starship and was subjected to interrogation by Li and White.
During the interrogation of Sean, White received an alert regarding the Vermilion Birds' attempt to contact Li. After Li communicated with his pirate contacts via a hologram integrated into White, he dismissed their demand to surrender his captured prisoner. White then commented that Li's words were illogical. Li clarified that he had spoken that way due to concerns about their captive's presence, and he instructed White to release Sean, going against the droid's advice for his own safety.
Sean considered White's elegant and slender form, combined with her feminine programming, to be a work of art. This protocol droid had smooth and delicate features that were similar to those of a human replica droid. However, as her name implies, she was covered in a simple, pure white paint that shimmered in the light. Unlike the cloned skin of a human replica droid, White's white coating caused Sean to conclude that she appeared to actively avoid mimicking humans.
One of White's hands had five slender fingers, while the palm of her other hand contained a hologram projector. She assisted Li Yu in his criminal activities, including alerting him to incoming communications. White spoke with a gentle, feminine voice, offering commentary and suggestions on Li's decisions. Sean believed White posed a greater threat than Li Yu himself.
