During the Clone Wars, a conflict in which they fought for the Republic Navy, Admiral Wieler, a Human, played a key role. In the year 22 BBY, Wieler, along with Jedi Generals such as Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, and Tauht, were assigned to liberate the planet of Khorm. Wieler's battle group, which included the Star Destroyer Resilient, their flagship, was a critical component of this operation, aimed at securing the valuable agrocite mineral resources located there.
The Separatist forces employed a weather-control station to disrupt the Republic's ability to deploy additional support, prompting Wieler to establish a blockade around Khorm. Subsequently, Asajj Ventress, a Dark Jedi, successfully breached Wieler's blockade aboard a Separatist ship, piloting her way to the planet's surface, despite Wieler's best efforts. Later on, the Jedi managed to neutralize the weather-control station, enabling Wieler to deploy reinforcements that ultimately contributed to the Republic's victory in the ensuing battle.
During the final years of the Galactic Republic, Wieler, a Human, distinguished themselves. As an admiral within the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, Wieler commanded the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resilient, which served as their flagship. In 22 BBY, Wieler's fleet received orders to free the planet of Khorm from Separatist occupation and to secure the valuable agrocite mineral deposits present there. While Jedi Generals Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, and Tauht led the Republic ground forces, Wieler oversaw the Republic Navy's task force positioned in orbit above Khorm. However, the Separatists had constructed a weather-control station, generating a powerful storm within Khorm's atmosphere, thereby hindering the Republic's ability to provide air support. Despite this obstacle, Republic ground forces successfully landed, and the Jedi-led clone troopers swiftly seized control of an enemy agrocite processing facility.

Simultaneously, the Separatist Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress arrived in orbit aboard her starship, the Trident, with the intention of reinforcing the Confederate ground forces. Wieler communicated with Koon, instructing two V-19 Torrent starfighters to intercept the Trident before it could reach the planet's surface. However, a temporary opening in the storm allowed Ventress's ship to pass through, but the storm immediately closed as the Republic fighters entered, resulting in their destruction. Wieler then contacted Koon via a hologram, informing the Jedi Master that the storm had regained its full intensity and that the atmospheric disturbance was nearing the Jedi's primary target: the main Separatist base. Eventually, the Jedi succeeded in destroying the weather-control station, prompting Wieler to promptly dispatch reinforcements to the planet, effectively preventing the Republic forces from being overwhelmed. Despite suffering significant losses, the Republic ultimately secured victory in the battle and gained control of the agrocite mines.
Wieler possessed light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. They demonstrated a strong commitment to preventing Ventress from landing on the planet, even deploying fighters in an attempt to intercept her ship, although these efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful. When Ventress broke the blockade, Wieler provided the Jedi officers with a concise update, and the information regarding the atmospheric distortion proved valuable to the ground forces.
Wieler's debut appearance occurred in the seventh issue of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic series. This issue, released on July 15, 2009, was written by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, with illustrations by Scott Hepburn.
