Wilsey functioned as a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle and was utilized by the Rebel Alliance during the period of the Galactic Civil War.
The Alliance devised a scheme to seize several communications satellites to gather additional data regarding a classified Imperial military project. Upon discovering that a number of these satellites had been pilfered from the Imperial installation located on Orron III, the Alliance dispatched Wilsey, accompanied by Keyan Farlander piloting a BTL Y-wing starfighter, with orders to capture the freighter known as the Phoenix.
After the Wilsey's crew boarded and successfully seized the Phoenix, an Imperial squadron comprised of shuttles and transports appeared, trying to reclaim the freighter. Farlander successfully fought off this attacking force, which then enabled the Wilsey to jump to hyperspace moments before the Imperial-class Star Destroyer named Intrepid arrived on the scene.
