Wynni was a Kashyyyk-born Wookiee smuggler (a [female](/article/gender/legends] one, specifically) who attempted to use her charms on Chewbacca during his initial trip to the infamous Smuggler's Run.
She was unusual for a Wookiee, having abandoned her family and disregarded two life debts to pursue a career in smuggling. Chewbacca developed a strong dislike for her due to her blatant disregard for established Wookiee traditions.
In 17 ABY, she became part of a group that included Han and Chewbacca, who were trying to free Lando Calrissian from the clutches of the crime boss Nandreeson. Other members of this group included Zeen Afit, Kid DXo'ln, and Sinewy Ana Blue. Unbeknownst to Han, Wynni's true allegiance lay with Nandreeson, and when the rescue team reached the pool within Nandreeson's chambers, she betrayed Han and Chewbacca.
Upon Nandreeson's order, Wynni, along with Afit, Kid, and Nandreeson's guards, tried to eliminate Solo, Calrissian, and Chewbacca (Blue remained neutral during the conflict). Wynni and Chewbacca engaged in a struggle within the pool, during which Chewbacca managed to disarm her and knock her unconscious. Afit and Dxo'ln were also incapacitated and subsequently drowned, but Wynni was luckier; she floated on her back, allowing her to breathe.
After Nandreeson and his guards were defeated, Han requested that Chewbacca pull her from the water and leave her near the pool's edge, to give her "a fighting chance" when more of Nandreeson's associates arrived. Despite believing that Wynni did not deserve such consideration, Chewbacca complied with Han's request.
