This action-packed finale to the series showcases the Expanded Universe's most popular heroes and establishes a top-tier fighter squadron unlike any other in the galaxy, filled with intense combat and high-speed aerial maneuvers!
The assault on Corellia by the Imperials was not motivated by a desire to locate Luke Skywalker and Rogue Squadron, which included Wedge Antilles, Ten Numb, Wes Janson, and Tycho Celchu. It was merely a chance occurrence. Ten Numb is restrained on a table, awaiting torture. R2-D2 successfully tracked the Imperials to the nearby planet of Tralus. Rogue Squadron then enters a Selonian city, where they encounter distrust from the Seleonians, who have suffered persecution at the hands of the Empire. The squadron manages to secure assistance from the Selonians, gaining information about the location of Weir's base, which is under the command of the ruthless General Weir.
At Weir's base, Weir interrogates Ten, seeking information about events occurring beyond the system. The Imperials become aware of Rogue Squadron's incoming approach and initiate an evacuation. As the Imperials prepare to depart, Rogue Squadron enters the base. Weir and a number of Imperials board TIE Fighters and take off. Wedge and Tycho commandeer TIE Fighters and pursue the Imperials. Luke and Wes continue fighting within the base, searching for Ten. They locate him, but discover that he has already died. Wedge and Tycho successfully shoot down the Imperial TIE Fighters. Weir is forced to exit his downed vessel, and Wedge apprehends him.
Weir is imprisoned on Sullust, while Luke and Wedge converse aboard a Star Destroyer that was seized from the Imperials during the Battle of Endor. Luke intends to relinquish his position as Rogue Leader to establish a New Jedi Order. Wedge then meets with Admiral Gial Ackbar to select the members of his new squadron.
