Y'luubi were aquatic creatures that originated on Yuuzhan'tar. The Yuuzhan Vong brought them to Coruscant, where they lived in places like Coruscant's Liberation Lake.
Within the Galactic Alliance, the meat of the y'luubi was prized as a delicacy. It was even said to be among the few positive legacies of the Yuuzhan Vong. At her eatery, Yuza Bre, Madame Aryn Thul tried to wow Jedi Masters Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade Skywalker by serving them y'luubi. Mara noted that the flavor profile shifted from smoky to sweet to tangy as she ate it.
