Yarra, a Twi'lek pilot of Female gender, fought for the New Republic during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Towards the conclusion of the conflict, Yarra took part in both the Liberation of Kashyyyk and the Battle of Jakku, the final, pivotal engagement between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire; she piloted a BTL-A4 Y-wing assault starfighter/bomber as part of Phantom Squadron. On one occasion, her comrade Jethpur used the Quarrenese language to communicate to Temmin Wexley about damage to their starfighter. Because Wexley lacked understanding of Quarrenese, Yarra provided a translation, alerting Wexley to the damage.
