Zam Basdor was a Human male who held a position of importance within the Imperial Remnant, serving as the trusted advisor to Admiral Gilad Pellaeon. As a result of this pact, Basdor became a double agent, working to undermine a proposed peace treaty that had the potential to bring an end to the Galactic Civil War. Biography

Basdor, shot between the eyes

Following the Battle of Endor, Basdor, a male Human, served the Imperial Remnant as a dignitary under the command of Admiral Gilad Pellaeon. Based on the Imperial homeworld, Orinda, Basdor eventually made contact with Ennix Devian, an Imperial assassin and extremist who founded a splinter faction of the Remnant known as the Restored Empire. In exchange for an unspecified reward, Devian recruited Basdor to act as a spy within Pellaeon's inner circle. Basdor informed Devian that Pellaeon was considering a truce with the opposing New Republic, and the pair then plotted to sabotage the peace negotiations in order to prolong the ongoing Galactic Civil War.

Pellaeon tasked Basdor with overseeing the meeting between Mirith Sinn, representing the New Republic, and Feena D'Asta, who represented the Imperial Remnant and the D'Astan sector. This meeting was intended to establish the groundwork for a ceasefire. Basdor secretly arranged for a team of Devian's stormtroopers to lie in ambush, with orders to assassinate both women. The intention was to frame the New Republic for the attack, which would then provoke Pellaeon into launching a retaliatory strike against the Republic capital, Coruscant, in order to maintain father's loyalty to the Remnant. This, in turn, would create an opportunity for Devian to attack Orinda and destroy the Imperial Remnant. However, Basdor did not anticipate the presence of Kir Kanos, a bounty hunter and former member of the Emperor's Royal Guard, at the meeting. Expressing his disapproval of allowing the man who assassinated Xandel Carivus, the previous head of the Imperial Ruling Council, to attend peace talks, Basdor left the room. Shortly after, he sent Devian's stormtroopers in to kill everyone present, resulting in D'Asta's death. Kanos, however, saved Sinn's life and killed Basdor's men. Pellaeon questioned Basdor's decision to abandon D'Asta prior to the attack. Basdor claimed that he suspected treachery, and bolstered Pellaeon's decision to launch a strike at the heart of the New Republic; Pellaeon's fleet mobilized for the attack.

However, while en route to Coruscant, Pellaeon received word of Devian's attack on Orinda from Baron D'Asta; Kir Kanos revealed the truth about Feena's death to her father. Pellaeon's fleet reversed course. Upon reentering Orinda's orbit, Devian's forces boarded Pellaeon's flagship. Devian spared Basdor, and then managed to corner Pellaeon and force him to surrender. Pellaeon's suspicions about Basdor were confirmed when he saw the dignitary standing with Devian's men, unharmed. Devian revealed Basdor's true allegiance. Enraged, Pellaeon drew his blaster and killed Basdor with a single shot to the head.
