Following the ascent of the Galactic Empire many Years ago, the parent of Zarro departed from the planet of Andelm IV on a starship. Zarro remained with her father, Arrax, and they both toiled within the Andelm beetle caverns. Not long after the Battle of Yavin, Zarro fled the caverns, where she came across the Wookiee named Chewbacca. In a plea for the Wookiee's assistance, Zarro implored him to stay, referencing the tale of her mother's departure. The Wookiee then agreed and aided the young girl.
