Zero Station was a military base constructed on the planet Hoth by the Chiss Ascendancy before 3665 BBY. In this year, the Ascendancy informed the Sith Empire about a concentration of Republic Navy vessels nearby. These warships were preparing an assault on the Imperial capital located on Dromund Kaas. This secret and completely autonomous installation remained operational on Hoth for many years, operating independently from the surface facilities. Despite their alliance with the Sith Empire, the Chiss maintained the station's existence as a closely guarded secret.
The Imperial Agent known as Cipher Nine came across Zero Station after being double-crossed by Admiral Layek Davos. Upon arrival, the Cipher Agent encountered Aristocra Saganu and Ensign Raina Temple, who both pledged their support to the operative in their fight against the disloyal Imperials.
