Arashar

Arashar was an astronomical object that appeared blue-green from space. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Arashar had an Imperial presence, with at least three Imperial II-class Star Destroyers in its orbit. The astronomical object was identified by the Empire as a possible former site of the Jedi Order.

Arashar was included on a list of such locations that was retrieved from an Imperial archive by the astromech droid R2-D2 and given to Luke Skywalker, rebel and hopeful Jedi. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Skywalker ventured to Arashar in his X-wing starfighter while attempting to continue his Jedi training by learning Jedi knowledge from visiting the locations on the list. After arriving to find the Star Destroyers that guarded it, Skywalker concluded that he would not be able to know if there was anything of interest at Arashar, and moved on to another location.

Arashar appeared in the nineteenth issue of the Star Wars (2020) comic series, written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Marco Castiello, and published by Marvel Comics on December 8, 2021. Prior to the release of the comic, it featured in a preview released on StarWars.com on December 1.
