An Inquisitor arrived at the village and, finding no Jedi present, destroyed the settlement, killing all of its inhabitants save for the brother and an old man, believing the brother had lied to him. Tano and the sister arrived to find the village in flames, and despite what he had done, Tano saved the brother from the lethal "reward" the Inquisitor attempted to give him before facing the dark sider herself. The Inquisitor recognized Tano, commenting that she was supposedly dead and that he would be rewarded for killing her. However, Tano was able to quickly disarm the Inquisitor, before killing him with his own lightsaber. In the aftermath, Tano used a comlink she had been given by Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa to call for a lift for herself and the survivors, so they could start a new life elsewhere while she took up Organa's offer to join the fight against the Empire.
