The Baktan 5000 was a race participated in by the starship racer Marcus Speedstar. In 34 ABY, the Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono—acting as a mechanic—was helping Speedstar work on his ship, the Galaxy's Glory, in preparation for the race known as the Platform Classic on the planet Castilon. While speaking to Speedstar during the work, he mentioned the Baktan 5000 to be one of the racer's accomplishments.
