Chandrilan whiskey was a type of whiskey that was expensive during the High Republic Era. Axel Greylark—the son of the Republic Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark—was given a bottle of the beverage by Lady Lu-reen Faraday, the Chandrilan heiress of the Faraday Spirits company, from a rare batch of the drink that had only three hundred bottles left due to a shipping accident. Axel later enjoyed the Chandrilan whiskey in a flask while in the gambling den Raik's Parlor on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.
Chandrilan whiskey was a type of smoky whiskey that was potable by humans and partially shared its name with Chandrilans, residents of the Core Worlds planet Chandrila. The beverage featured a burning effect when consumed, which some individuals found pleasant.
During the High Republic Era, a shipping accident resulted in a batch of Chandrilan whiskey becoming rare in the galaxy. With only three hundred bottles left in existence, the whiskey became worth one thousand credits a bottle. At some point, Axel Greylark—the son of the Republic Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark—became romantically involved with Lady Lu-reen Faraday, the Chandrilan heiress of her family's company, Faraday Spirits. Faraday gifted Axel an expensive bottle of the whiskey when the pair were visiting each other.
However, he ended his relationship with the heiress not long afterward in 382 BBY and visited the gambling den Raik's Parlor on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant to avoid the HoloNet tabloids' reporting on his love life. While in Raik's Parlor, Axel enjoyed his gifted Chandrilan whiskey, which he kept in his flask. He played roulette for several hours into the night alongside the establishment's other patrons, occasionally pulling his flask from a compartment in his droid, QN-1, to take a swig of the beverage.
After finishing a round of roulette, a Mirialan woman teased him for drinking fine Chandrilan whiskey from his flask as they watched the rest of Raik's Parlor's patrons file out of the room. At the prompting of the establishment's owner—the Utai Raik—Axel indicated that his whiskey was of a rare variety, thinking about how he had acquired the beverage from Faraday. However, he internally reflected that he was wary of any drink served to him being poisoned, instead choosing to enjoy his own libations. As the Mirialan and Raik began discussing Faraday, he hastily put away his flask of the drink.
Chandrilan whiskey appeared in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.
