"Gold Leader" was the callsign of a clone trooper pilot who served as commander of the Y-wing unit Gold Squadron during the Battle of Anaxes. During the battle, Gold Leader led an attack run on the Anaxes assembly complex.
In the original unfinished version of "Unfinished Business," released in 2015, Gold Leader wears the same clone pilot uniform and face-revealing flight helmet as the clone pilots seen in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. However, in the final version of the episode released on Disney+ in 2020, he wears the standard Phase II pilot armor.
