Annikin Starkiller, offspring of Kane Starkiller, served as a Padawan Learner under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker, affiliated with the Jedi-Bendu. Further, he acted as both guardian and, eventually, romantic partner to Leia, the Princess and later Queen of his native world, Aquilae. He achieved renown as the central figure in the conflict that resulted in the Galactic Empire's defeat within the Aquilaean system.
Following the events of the Jedi Rebellion, Annikin, still in his teens, along with his brother Deak Starkiller, took up residence on the Fourth Moon of Utapau alongside their father, Kane Starkiller. Despite his youth, Annikin participated actively in the Kessilian civil wars and spearheaded a Hubble mission to the Cone star systems. He was known for his distinctive Kessilian hair knot hairstyle.
After a Sith Knight discovered their location and tragically killed Deak, Annikin and Kane journeyed back to their home world of Aquilae.
He began his training as a Padawan under Luke Skywalker's guidance after his father, Kane, revealed to Skywalker that he was nearing death.
Subsequent to his father's passing, he pursued a relationship with Leia, the Queen of Aquilae, who governed his planet. He then received the title of Lord Protector of Aquilae.
Annikin Starkiller held the position of the primary character within the rough draft of the screenplay that ultimately evolved into A New Hope. His role mirrored that of Luke Skywalker in the final film, A New Hope, yet his persona, characterized by arrogance and impetuosity, bore resemblances to both Han Solo from A New Hope and Anakin Skywalker as portrayed in Attack of the Clones. Although the name Annikin was absent from the second draft, it resurfaced in the third draft as the designation for Luke's father, eventually becoming Anakin in Return of the Jedi.
In the first draft, Annikin was given a new name: "Justin Valor." During the production of A New Hope, Luke's surname was altered from Starkiller to Skywalker, which had been his Jedi designation in the second draft.
The identity of Annikin's mother, along with the circumstances surrounding her fate, remain unknown, with implications suggesting her death.
