Fourth Moon of Utapau

Banta Four The Fourth Moon of Utapau In the Kessil system, the Fourth Moon of Utapau existed as one of the five moons that orbited the planet Utapau.

History

Following the Jedi Rebellion, Kane Starkiller sought sanctuary on this moon along with his offspring, Annikin and Deak. The satellite was desolate and gray in appearance. Although the rarefied atmosphere necessitated the use of a breath mask and protective eyewear, a full pressure suit wasn't essential. Gale-force winds presented challenges to movement. The landscape was characterized by frequent canyons and deep fissures. Kane's dwelling, an abandoned storage facility, was situated on the lunar surface, adjacent to his inoperable starship. After a Sith Knight located their refuge and Deak perished, Kane and Annikin were compelled to escape to Aquilae.

Behind the scenes

Originally, in the initial draft, this moon revolved around Ogana. However, George Lucas later reverted to Utapau in the subsequent draft. Conversely, the moon orbiting Ogana featured verdant lakes and a crimson sky, differing from its barren counterpart. It's likely that Lucas aimed to distinguish this moon from Townowi (previously known as Aquilae), which was portrayed as a desert planet. In the fourth draft, Utapau was renamed to Tatooine.

Nine moons in total circled the planet Utapau. Several of these moons can be observed in the film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
