A warrior of the dark side, known as a Knight of the Sith, was clad in dark garments and a mask, wielding a red lightsaber. Piloting a Banta Four starfighter within the Kessil system, this Sith discovered and launched an assault upon Kane Starkiller and his offspring, Annikin Starkiller and Deak Starkiller, who were located on the Fourth Moon of Utapau. The Sith caught the Jedi off guard and quickly eliminated Deak. Nevertheless, the Sith's close-quarters combat skills proved insufficient against Kane, a Jedi Master, who defeated the knight without delay.
This character served as inspiration for many subsequent characters in later scripts and the movies themselves. His visual design appears to be the genesis of Darth Vader, even though Vader is present as a separate character in the screenplay. The ambush of Deak bears a strong similarity to the Tusken Raider who surprised Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. Furthermore, some traits of the character are reminiscent of Darth Maul on Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
