Morsel

During the time of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, there existed a male Evocii called Morsel. He made his home on the planet Nal Hutta. Along with many other Evocii, he dwelled in the swamps of Hutta. He was hand-picked by Suudaa Nem'ro, a Hutt crime lord, to take on an administrative role at an Evocii work camp situated in the village of Voam. It was Nem'ro who bestowed upon him the moniker Morsel. The Evocii within the work camp were controlled by several non-Evocii enforcers who were in the employ of Nem'ro. These enforcers openly ridiculed Morsel and openly defied his instructions, which made his job exceedingly challenging. Because of this, Morsel started seeking assistance to help him to intimidate the men so they would do as he asked. He located an individual aligned with the Empire within Nem'ro's Palace who agreed to help him and was offered a substantial sum of credits to frighten the camp's head enforcer. The individual agreed and made it clear to the enforcer that he would face Nem'ro's anger if he continued to ignore Morsel. The enforcer, now properly intimidated, gave his word that he would obey Morsel. Pleased with the individual's efforts, the Evocii gave them the agreed-upon sum of credits.

Biography

During the Cold War, Morsel, a male Evocii, lived his life. His home was on the planet Nal Hutta. Originally, his species had controlled Nal Hutta. However, the Hutt species adopted it as their homeworld after the destruction of Varl. Like many other members of his species, Morsel lived in the swamps of Nal Hutta, specifically near the industrial town of Jiguuna. Suudaa Nem'ro, a Hutt crime lord and the self-proclaimed ruler of Jiguuna, appointed him as the administrator of an Evocii work camp located in the swamps, ceremoniously giving him the name Morsel. However, when Morsel began to carry out his responsibilities, he discovered that the human enforcers, responsible for keeping the Evocii workers in line, mocked him, made fun of his name, and disregarded his orders. Consequently, Morsel began searching for assistance within the cantina of Nem'ro's Palace, offering credits to anyone who would assist him.

Morsel found someone aligned with the Empire who was willing to assist him. He requested that the individual travel to the camp and intimidate the chief enforcer there so that the enforcers would obey him, offering a large amount of credits if they did. The individual visited the enforcer, warning him that Nem'ro would be displeased if they didn't do as Morsel asked and that they would kill the enforcer if they had to return. This scared the enforcer enough that he promised to obey the Evocii. Morsel was thankful, and paid the individual 30 credits and a minor medpac.

Personality and traits

Morsel was thankful to Nem'ro for giving him a job as administrator and removing him from the swamps of Nal Hutta. When the enforcers prevented Morsel from completing the work Nem'ro had set for him, he became worried and was willing to pay well to correct the situation. Morsel had no moral objections to intimidation, but he did not feel himself capable of intimidating the enforcers himself. He wore brown clothing whilst serving in Nem'ro's palace and had blue eyes, pale yellow skin and black hair which he wore several beads in.

Behind the scenes

Morsel made his debut appearance in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was launched in 2011 by BioWare. Within the game, he is featured on the planet Nal Hutta and plays a role in the mission titled "A Slight Lean." In this mission, he enlists the player's help to intimidate an enforcer on his behalf. Players have the option to threaten the enforcer with death, representing a "dark side" choice, or to adopt a more diplomatic approach, which aligns with a "light side" choice. Regardless of the chosen approach, the enforcer ultimately agrees to cease his taunting. This article assumes the player threatened to kill the enforcer, as only players of the Bounty Hunter or Imperial Agent classes, both assumed to always choose "dark side" options, can take on the missions.
