In 3643 BBY, Pharen assisted Jedi Knight Attros Finn in briefing a Jedi Knight for an assignment to track down the Noetikon of Light. Believed to be held by agents of the Black Sun gang on Coruscant within their own territory in the underworld, Pharen's sister had informed her that members of the gang were stockpiling weapons in the backroom of the Silent Sun cantina where she worked. While the Knight was searching for the Noetikon one of Pharen's patients, Jedi Master Yuon Par, attacked her and had to be restrained.
