As a female Human Jedi Master, Yuon Par dedicated her life to serving both the esteemed Jedi Order and the esteemed Galactic Republic. Her service took place during the tense Cold War against the reconstituted Sith Empire.
Yuon Par, a Force-sensitive female Human, entered the Jedi Order during her early years. As a young Jedi student, Yuon Par accompanied Cin Tykan, Eriz Vossan, Sidonie Garen, Duras Fain, and Parkanas Tark on an exploratory mission to the planet of Malachor III. During this mission, they encountered Terrak Morrhage, the spirit of an ancient Sith Lords. This Sith spirit used his influence to ensnare the Jedi. Par and Fain were both affected by the spirit's influence, and they gave into their feelings for each other. Before succumbing completely, she and the rest of the Jedi managed to escape the planet, but her friend Parkanas, the youngest of the group, was left behind. Over the years of the Great Galactic War, Yuon achieved the rank of Jedi Master by the war's conclusion.
Par trained as a Consular, becoming a well-regarded scholar who focused on archaeology. She earned recognition for recovering the long-lost Gharnus Texts and a holocron created by Master Odan-Urr. Master Par was not only a researcher of the Jedi Order's ancient history but also a talented diplomat. She successfully brokered peace between warring Gamorreans clans and became a bloodsister to a Kaleesh chieftain through her work in the field. Following the sacking of Coruscant, the loss of the Jedi Temple there, and the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant, the Jedi Order relocated to their ancestral homeworld of Tython. There, Master Par began teaching classes on the Order's history to Initiates at the new Temple. Along with Gnost-Dural and other Jedi scholars, she examined the ruins and discovered new details about the Order's forgotten pre-history.
During her research, Par encountered the Trandoshan Qyzen Fess on Belkadan. He traded artifacts found in some ruins for medicine to treat snake bites. They became close friends, although some Jedi questioned the nature of their friendship.
In 3643 BBY, Yuon Par and Master Syo Bakarn, a member of the Jedi High Council, welcomed a young Padawan whose Force abilities manifested at a very young age. She apologized to the Padawan for her tardiness, explaining that she had been preoccupied with archaeological investigations. After introducing herself, she told her apprentice about an urgent matter: Jedi researchers had recently discovered teaching holograms created by the Jedi Order's founders in the Tythonian Gnarls. However, the researchers were attacked by native Flesh Raiders, who began rampaging through the region, and they failed to recover the hologram projectors of Cala Brin, Garon Jard, Ters Sendon, and Rajivari. Her apprentice successfully defeated the attacking Flesh Raiders and retrieved three of the projectors. However, the fourth hologram projector, belonging to Rajivari, had been stolen. Par expressed her concern, but she noted that Flesh Raiders were not known for stealing artifacts. She instructed her apprentice to meet her back at the Jedi Temple.
After her apprentice completed her trials and defeated the Dark Adept Nalen Raloch, Yuon Par proudly declared her pupil a Jedi before the Council. Suddenly, she collapsed mid-sentence. Yuon was then transported to a medical facility in the Senate Tower on Coruscant. When the Consular and Qyzen arrived on the Republic capital, they found Yuon muttering incoherently about Parkanas Tark and a coming darkness that would slowly corrupt her. Hoping to find a cure for her illness, the Consular sought out the Noetikons. After recovering the Noetikon of Science and Light, the Consular was summoned back to the Senate Tower because Yuon had attacked one of her caretakers. Her illness had worsened, and she no longer recognized Qyzen or her own Padawan, believing they were Flesh Raiders and attacking them as well. The pair managed to subdue her before locating the Noetikon of Secrets. Bringing the Noetikons to the ruined Jedi Temple, the Consular discovered and performed a shielding ritual, which cured Master Par and dispelled her insanity. Yuon and her Padawan exchanged words before the Consular was called upon by the Council. Yuon had a brief period of rest before her Padawan returned, informing her that the Council had assigned the Consular to track down all the Jedi Masters affected by the plague.
Yuon went back to Tython when her Padawan, who had successfully shielded all the afflicted Masters, was in session with the Council, having evaded the Padawans assigned to watch her. She agreed with the Consular's theory that the plaguemaster, Lord Vivicar, was Parkanas Tark, despite the Council's skepticism. She then suggested to her pupil that they remove the shielding ritual on her so she could invert the link between herself and Vivicar in an attempt to locate him. However, this resulted in Vivicar possessing her and attempting to force Yuon to kill her own Padawan. The Consular managed to overcome her, breaking Vivicar's control. Yuon then gave the coordinates and security code for Vivicar's starship before begging her former pupil to end her suffering. The Consular refused, instead restoring the shielding on Yuon.
After the Consular managed to redeem Vivicar as Parkanas and end the threat of the madness plague, Yuon and the other afflicted Masters were restored to full health. Yuon proudly watched as her pupil was granted the title of Barsen'thor, Warden of the Order.
Master Yuon Par, a firm believer in the Jedi Order and a dedicated pursuer of history, was seen as somewhat unconventional by her peers but was generally well-respected. However, her friendship with the Trandoshan Qyzen Fess was met with disapproval by some. Master Bakarn considered her to be enthusiastic.
The voice of Yuon Par was provided by Olivia Hussey, a renowned actress famous for playing Juliet in the 1968 film Romeo and Juliet. She also lent her voice to minor characters in other Star Wars games, including Force Commander and Rogue Squadron.
After Yuon was infected by the plague, she used a lightsaber with a yellow blade during the first duel against her former apprentice. However, during the second duel, after the future Barsen'thor arrived on Tython to meet with the Council, she wielded a blue lightsaber.
