Soruus, a planet situated within the Tion Cluster of the Outer Rim Territories, existed. Prior to the era of the Republic, it functioned as a prosperous trade center within the bounds of Xim's Empire. This world was also famous for its gladiator combat, which took place in a sizable arena; these spectacles continued even after Xim's empire crumbled and Soruus's importance as a trading hub diminished.
Following the Galactic Republic's incorporation of the Tion Cluster, a massive polysteel monument depicting Xim the Despot was erected on Soruus, positioned above the arena. This occurred during the chancellorship of Kirbat the Unready. Crafted on Centares well after the Despot's demise, Bleys Harand, a historian, deemed the statue an unreliable portrayal of Xim.
