Like the American Marvel Star Wars series, it started with a multi-part adaptation of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, but split into twelve parts instead of six. This includes the first half of the story printed in the US as Star Wars (1977) 1.
The first issue included a free gift, a cut-out cardboard "X-Fighter" (sic).
