Thyr's northern shore stretched along the Thyrian Ocean. Inland of the beaches were stony plains that eventually fed into the dense Stark Forests. The close-set skeletal trees stored water in leathery sacs that could nourish travelers and fauna alike, and shallow streams ran from the sea towards the Silent Desert. The sands of this desert absorbed all vibrations, muting all sound above ground. Interrupted in spots by mesas and canyons filled with cool caves, the Silent Desert was the final resting place of a Tho Yor in 36,453 BBY and a community of pilgrims formed around it in a canyon marked by four curving rock spires that reached for the sky. Eventually the Temple of Force Skills, Qigong Kesh, took form in the cool caves beneath the Tho Yor and became a place of pilgrimage for members of the Je'daii Order. The silence of the desert was broken in the caverns of Qigong Kesh, causing Je'daii who had spent long bouts in the desert to ramble and mutter continuously among first entering to the Temple.
The continent of Thyr was home to some of the planet's greatest sights and a variety of people. A great Cloud Chaser airport was situated on high cliffs over the Thyrian Ocean, launching big airships out over the ocean towards a variety of destinations.
