Abtin, a world found in the Outer Rim, was classified as a planet. As the Nihil marauders conducted an expansion of the Stormwall barrier, which enclosed their Occlusion Zone territory, Abtin became one of the planets incorporated into the Nihil's newly established boundaries. Prior to the initial formation of the Stormwall, Kitrep Soh, son of Galactic Republic chancellor Lina Soh, and his boyfriend Jom Lariin were touring the Outer Rim; they subsequently journeyed to Abtin and discovered it had been annexed by the Nihil.
