Acantha, a young Nephran, belonged to the criminal organization known as the Norikus gang on the planet of Coruscant. Around 232 BBY, she, along with a Lepi companion and Norikus, the gang's leader, attempted a robbery targeting the thief Nittel Karkson on level 4000 of Galactic City. However, their plan was disrupted by the arrival of Jedi Master Stellan Gios, causing Acantha to escape.
Acantha was a Nephran and a part of the criminal Norikus gang. This gang, operating in the depths of Coruscant, was under the leadership of the Octeroid Norikus. During the time of Solstice Tide, approximately 232 BBY, Norikus, Acantha, and a Lepi associate sought to rob the youthful thief, Nittel Karkson, in a trash-filled alley located on level four thousand of Galactic City. With a menacing snap of her pincers, Acantha grabbed Karkson—who had been stealing on Republic Avenue—by his jacket, and emptied his pockets onto the ground while speaking roughly in Nepotisian.
Norikus voiced his displeasure that the boy had not stolen enough, but the Jedi Master Stellan Gios's arrival interrupted them. Acantha spun around to face the Jedi, surprised and dropping Karkson. However, the sight of his ignited lightsaber prompted her and the Lepi to flee, leaving Norikus to confront him alone. Gios allowed Karkson to leave. Later, when Gios visited the boy's humble dwelling, the thief, hearing someone approach, feared it was either Acantha or Norikus returning to confront him. He grabbed a ladle for protection, knowing it would be ineffective against Acantha's pincers.
Acantha's first appearance was in "A Coruscant Solstice," a short story penned by Cavan Scott and featured in the 2021 Life Day Treasury anthology.
