Adre L'Mendi was a female character in the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era. She served within the Imperial Navy, achieving the military rank of captain. L'Mendi was in command of the Tenacious, which was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer. During the events of the Liberation of Erso, Captain L'Mendi received information about a Rebel Alliance starship positioned above the planet Wobani. Upon the Tenacious's arrival, it engaged and obliterated the Alliance corvette named Vigilant, subsequently deploying additional TIE fighter support. The Tenacious's tractor beam targeting array was targeted by Red Flight, which enabled all rebel forces to successfully escape. Captain L'Mendi's failure had significant and detrimental consequences for the Empire, as Jyn Erso's subsequent actions culminated in the Battle of Scarif, where the Empire's Death Star plans were stolen. This theft then allowed the Rebel Alliance to destroy the Death Star, resulting in the deaths of prominent members of the Imperial Military, including Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, as well as members of the Joint Chiefs.
