A planet situated in the Fei Hu sector of the Mid Rim, was known as Aikhibba. Located along the Gamor Run hyperspace route, it became integrated into the Galactic Republic around 17,000 BBY. Concurrently, it formed a segment of the Exploitation Region, an area under the influence of Core Worlds-based trading corporations referred to as the Grand Companies. During the Galactic Empire's rule, the smuggler named Lo Khan undertook a highly lucrative smuggling operation to Aikhibba, delivering a spice shipment from the royal governor of the Thokosia system to the crime lord Spadda, who resided there.
A planet named Aikhibba resided within the Aikhibba system, which itself was part of the Fei Hu sector within the Mid Rim's region known as the Slice. Its location on the Gamor Run hyperspace route connected it to both the Hoylin system and the Charra system within the Expansion Region.

By 17,000 BBY, Aikhibba had become a member of the Galactic Republic. Around that time, which marked the beginning of a millennia-spanning series of conflicts between the planet Alsakan; Coruscant, the Republic's capital; and their respective allies, Aikhibba—aligned with Coruscant—was situated within the Exploitation Region. This region was actively governed by the Grand Companies, which were trading conglomerates affiliated with Coruscant and based along the Spin hyperlane in the Core Worlds.
Sometime during the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Hutt crime lord known as Spadda established residence on Aikhibba. The royal governor of the Thokosia system within the Maerdocian sector once contracted the smuggler Uxbeg to transport a spice shipment to the Hutt. However, before Uxbeg could collect the cargo, his rival, Lo Khan, intercepted it and delivered it himself. Upon arrival at Aikhibba, Khan discovered that the recipient was none other than the crime lord Spadda, and he was handsomely rewarded. Despite being a minor stop for smugglers on the Gamor Run, Aikhibba served as a smuggling hub, a status it maintained until at least 27 ABY.
Aikhibba was initially referenced in the Dark Empire Sourcebook, a 1993 sourcebook by Michael Allen Horne published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book, placed the Aikhibba system, and consequently the planet, within grid square P-13.
