Alderaan's sun

This celestial body, a star, had the planet called Alderaan in its orbit until Alderaan's annihilation occurred in 0 BBY. The sun was eclipsed by the enormous Death Star as it entered the system to annihilate Alderaan; Queen Breha Organa and her spouse, Viceroy Bail Organa, observed this, and understood that death was imminent.
