Alita Sweetwater's life was tragically cut short when she was murdered by Blix Lanister. This female individual met her end in Anchorhead on the desert planet of Tatooine, an event that transpired during the tumultuous Galactic Civil War era. Her death occurred during this time of great conflict.

During the [Galactic Civil War](/article/galactic_civil_war-legends], there lived a female named Alita Sweetwater. Following the destruction of the first Death Star in 0 BBY, Blix Lanister fatally shot Alita in Anchorhead, located on Tatooine. Later, in 1.5 ABY, Windy Starkiller took up residence in Anchorhead. While there, he hired a spacer to track down the fleeing murderer.
The spacer agreed to this task, and soon located Blix. Blix was then returned to Windy, who showed his gratitude by paying the spacer 30 credits, even suggesting a career change into security. However, the matter of Blix was not yet resolved. Windy then tasked the spacer with finding Gleezwuq, a Rodian gang member of Blix's, whose location was unknown to Windy. Windy believed Gleezwuq possessed evidence that would connect Blix to Alita Sweetwater's murder.
The spacer successfully located and eliminated the Rodian. Found on Gleezwuq was the very blaster used by Blix to commit the murder of Alita. This evidence was presented to a very impressed Windy, who was now confident that Blix could be held accountable. For this, the spacer received another 30 credits. Unfortunately, shortly after this, Blix's allies stormed into town and helped him escape Anchorhead. Windy then gave the spacer one final mission: to find Blix and his accomplices. Windy was certain that Blix would not allow himself to be taken alive and instructed the spacer to do whatever was necessary. In the end, the spacer found and killed Blix and his fellow criminals. Following this successful operation, Windy rewarded the spacer with 100 credits.
In the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, Alita Sweetwater was a character who was only briefly referenced. Players who completed a series of quests for Windy Starkiller in Anchorhead discovered that she had been murdered by Blix Lanister in the town of Anchorhead on Tatooine. Completing a set of quests for Windy Starkiller required players to escort Blix Lanister to Anchorhead, eliminate Gleezwuq outside the town, and then kill Lanister after he escaped from Anchorhead. These quests were all about proving Blix Lanister's involvement in the murder of Alita Sweetwater.
Windy was removed from Star Wars Galaxies less than a year after the game's release, during Publish 6 on February 11, 2004 for reasons that remain unknown. Because Alita never actually appeared in the game, her species remains a mystery. However, Windy's dialogue during the quests indicated that Alita was a female.
