Alluv Eyam, a Neimoidian politician, held the position of minister of defense for Cato Neimoidia during the Clone Wars. After the Cadesura disaster occurred in the capital city of Zarra in 22 BBY, Eyam engaged in negotiations with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. These discussions led to Eyam permitting a Galactic Republic diplomatic investigation into the event. Because Cato Neimoidia maintained a stance of neutrality throughout the conflict, Eyam also extended a welcome to Asajj Ventress, an envoy from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Ventress aimed to convince the minister that Kenobi and the Republic were unreliable.
